Media Management

Store, organize, and optimize digital assets used throughout your POS system.

The Media module provides centralized management of all images and media files used in Kensium Point-of-Sale. Upload product images, logos, branding assets, and operational graphics in one location, then configure how they're sized and displayed.

📁 Media Library

Central repository for all digital assets. Upload, organize, and manage product images, logos, branding assets, and operational graphics. Support for multiple storage backends (local or cloud/S3).

🖼️ Media Profiles

Configure how images are processed and optimized for different uses. Define sizing, formats, compression levels, and aspect ratios for product thumbnails, detail images, receipts, and banners.

Common Tasks

Upload Product Images

  1. Admin → Media → Media Library
  2. Click Upload or drag-and-drop images
  3. Organize into folders (optional)
  4. Use in Inventory → Item Masters

Configure Logo for Receipts

  1. Admin → Media → Media Library
  2. Upload company logo (PNG recommended for transparency)
  3. Admin → System → Branding
  4. Select logo and choose receipt-logo profile
  5. Save

Set Up Product Thumbnails

  1. Create product-thumbnail Media Profile (e.g., 200×200px)
  2. Upload product images to Media Library
  3. System automatically creates thumbnails
  4. Use in product listings and searches

Customize Branding

  1. Upload logo, banners, signage graphics to Media Library
  2. Create custom Media Profiles if needed
  3. Reference in System → Branding
  4. Receipt and screen displays use configured images

Storage Options

Local Storage (Default)

  • Files stored on server
  • No cloud setup needed
  • Files included in backups
  • Best for: Single location, smaller deployments

Cloud Storage (Amazon S3)

  • Files stored in AWS S3 bucket
  • Globally accessible
  • Pay-per-use pricing
  • Best for: Multi-location, large file volumes

Quick Start

  1. Navigate to Media Library → Admin → Media
  2. Upload images for your products and branding
  3. Organize with folders (by product, type, etc.)
  4. Configure profiles to optimize for receipts, displays, etc.
  5. Reference in settings (products, branding, receipts)
