Server - Docker

This section describes how POS server components (e.g. RMS Server) are deployed and managed using the Docker container management system.

Important

Previous POS versions employed Windows-based installers to install the server and workstation components of the POS software.

Docker containers are the preferred deployment mechanism for POS from version 7.0 onwards, as it greatly simplifies installation and subsequent upgrades.
