Upgrading

This topic describes how the POS Docker containers are upgraded after they have already been installed (see Docker Containers. You will want to perform an upgrade whenever a new POS version is available and should be installed at a client site.

# General syntax format: 
./upgrade-downgrade.sh <VERSION_TAG> <ENV_FILE> 

# Example: Run using standard environment file: 
./upgrade-downgrade.sh 7.0.1 .env.docker
PLease review the details and if your sure about the image tag please enter 'YES'

Then run the following command - " sudo docker ps " then verify the image tag

Note - when we run the above script it will prompt for docker hub details it will be provided to rene

The VERSION_TAG is the POS version number, noting that . character is replaced with _. For example, POS version 7.0.1 has a tag of 7_0_1.
